The Constitution Chart
In the constitution chart, the ninth house has Leo on the cusp. With Leo on the cusp, we would approach ninth house matters proudly, even regally, generously, and creatively. The house contains only one of the points that I am using, the Part of Fortune, in Virgo. The ruler of Leo is the Sun, which is in the fourth house in Pisces in the constitution chart. As ruler of Leo, the fourth house Sun rules the ninth house.
The Part of Fortune in the Ninth
The Part of Fortune in the ninth house in Virgo would indicate that we would find fortune and happiness as a nation by applying an orderly and analytical approach to people like foreigners, preachers, professors, lawyers, judges, and scientists, and to things like foreign nations, religious institutions, schools of higher learning, courts and the law, science, and adventures.
The Part of Fortune was making only one aspect of the close aspects that I use, a waning semisquare to Neptune in Libra. The waning semisquare to Neptune might indicate societal irritation at the closing of cycles between our fortune and idealizing.
Sun Ruling the Ninth
The Sun in the fourth house in Pisces ruling the ninth house might indicate that the energy behind our sense of justice is our taking pride in our idealistic patriotism and roots. Another interpretation might be that leading in the area of watery mining would cause us to consider the foreign. Or, creating a amorphous homeland would lead to exploration and adventure.
The Sun made four aspects of the very close aspects that I am using; a conjunction to the Pisces nadir and to the third house Pisces Saturn, a waning square to the seventh house Gemini Chiron, and a waxing sesquiquadrate to Juno in the eleventh house in Libra. All of these aspects are active, indicating there would be a lot of energy behind ninth house matters. These aspects were covered under the post on third house, but I will make some comments here.
Squares indicate struggles and waning squares indicate achievement, conjunctions indicate a blending of energies, and waxing sesquiquadrates indicate putting energy into dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s – getting ready to present to the world. With the Sun conjunct the Nadir and Saturn, there would be a blending of the energies of leading and governing, with both focused on the homeland. With the Sun in a waning square to Chiron, we would be achieving something by integrating creating and laboring hard. With the Sun in a waxing sesquiquadrate to Juno, we would be dealing with the details of integrating leading with working in alliances. All of this integration would affect our laws and other ninth house matters.
The Sibly Chart
The Sibly chart also has Leo on the ninth house cusp. However, in the Sibly chart, the sign Virgo is intercepted in (entirely contained within) the ninth house. So, while we would be proud and regal in our ninth house matters on the surface, we might be worried and insecure about ninth house matters under the surface. In the Sibly chart, the ninth house contains Neptune and the mean Lilith, both in Virgo. The ruler of the house, the Sun, was in the seventh house in Cancer. The ruler of Virgo, Chiron, was in the fourth house in Aries.
Neptune in the Ninth
With Neptune in the ninth house in Virgo, we might idealize, in an analytical way, our country’s belief system. We might confuse foreign countries critically. We might laboriously delude our justice system.
Mercury was in a waning sextile to Neptune from the eighth house and Cancer. Mars was in a waning square to Neptune from the seventh house in Gemini. The North Node was in a waxing semisquare to Neptune from the eighth house in Leo, while the South Node was in a waning sesquiquadrate to Neptune from the second house and Aquarius (the nodes move backward). With three active aspects and one comfortable aspect, there would be a mix of struggle and ease in our idealizing, deluding, and confusing in the area of belief, the foreign, and higher education.
The waning sextile from Mercury to Neptune might indicate opportunities coming out of the closing of cycle between careful communicating in the area of joint resources and helpful idealizing in the area of joint ideas. The waning square between Mars and Neptune might indicate achievement in the area of war and peace through fighting intellectually and based on critically idealizing joint ideas.
The North Node in a waxing semisquare to Neptune from the eighth house in Leo might indicate we are growing in the direction of creative joint resources and the growing causes some tension and energy with respect to our laborious idealizing. The South Node in a waning sesquiquadrate to Neptune from the second house and Aquarius might indicate that we are growing away from egalitarian values and that there would be energy for laboriously idealizing out into the world in the process.
Mean Lilith in the Ninth
Lilith in the ninth house in Virgo might indicate that our joint belief system would be the basis for feministing in an statistical way. Lilith was square Mars in the seventh house in Gemini, inconjunct Vulcan in the second house in Aquarius, inconjunct Chiron in the fourth house in Aries, and trine Vesta in the fifth house in Taurus. With the two inconjuncts, there would be an edginess to feministing in this country, along with some ease and some struggle from the trine and square.
The square of the mean Lilith to Mars would indicate struggle between feministing and fighting in our country. The trine between Lilith and Vesta would indicate an easy flow between feministing and devoting in our country. The inconjuncts from the mean Lilith to Vulcan and Chiron, which were sextile each other, form a yod configuration – also known as a finger of God configuration. When the mean Lilith is activated by transit or progression, one should be able to see great shifts occurring from the integration of analytical feministing, radical negotiating, and aggressive laboring.
Sun Ruling the Ninth
The ruler of the ninth house, the Sun, in the seventh house in Cancer might indicate that our belief system would be formed out of patriotically leading our allies in war and peace. The Sun made only one aspect, of the close aspects that I am using, a waning square to Saturn in the tenth house in Libra. The aspect was covered in the post on the seventh house. I will say here that the struggle between carefully leading and fairly governing would shape our regal beliefs.
Chiron Ruling Intercepted Virgo in the Ninth
The ruler of Virgo, which is intercepted in the ninth house in the Sibly chart, is Chiron (at least I suspect it is Chiron – there is not a general consensus on this – the traditional ruler is Mercury). Chiron was in the fourth house in Aries in the Sibly chart. With the ruler of the intercepted Virgo in the fourth house in Aries, underneath the surface we might develop our belief system out of our pioneering approach toward our land and environment.
Chiron made three aspects, of the very close aspects that I use; Mars was in a waxing sextile to Chiron from the seventh house and Gemini, Juno was in an opposition to Chiron from the tenth house in Libra, and the mean Lilith was in an inconjunct to Chiron from the ninth house in Virgo. The three aspects are aspects of opportunity, reflection, and insecurity. The aspects were covered in the post for the fourth house, but I will add a few comments here.
Mars in a waxing sextile to Chiron says that opportunities would arise out of applying energy in concert with laboring hard when moving out to gather stuff concerned with seventh house matters. Juno in an opposition to Chiron says that societal reflection would occur when as a country we join the energies of being jealous and laboring hard. A conflict between care and caution might result. The mean Lilith in an inconjunct to Chiron would produce societal anxiety from the county’s integration of feministing and laboring hard. The opportunities, reflection, and anxiety would influence our belief system through Chiron’s rulership of Virgo.
